words well traveled.

earlier this month, i won a book in a giveaway hosted by juanita of there can be only juan. the front of the package was practically covered with stamps, 14 to be exact, and one end of the package was completely torn open except for a tiny corner piece. this corner piece is probably what saved the book and juanita's little note from falling out during its
journey from south africa.

one aspect of blogging that i've come to appreciate is being able to connect with people from all over the world.
while we may have originally connected over fashion and food,
i have learned of other cultures in (some) places i've never heard of, and have even traveled the world thru your photos.
so, thank you.

in other news, the weather has been ridiculously random.
we have sunny periods throughout the week, but for the most part, it is still rainy...in june. this is my excuse reason for the pasty white legs.

I totally agree that getting to meet women all over the world is one of the best aspects of blogging. I think I have more "foreign" bloggers friends than American ones!

This is so true. I hope to still meet a few more people from other countries through my blog. On a different note, I'm a fan of color and I love how you put this whole look together

I love this combination. Especially the blue shoes. Very cool. Haven't seen you wear them before. I have the same pasty white legs. I really need to hit the drug store and get those build a tan gradually lotions asap.
Oh, I used one of your old posts from February as my inspiration to today's outfit!

YAY! It arrived in (mostly) one piece! I'm so happy and relieved :)
I thought it was so apt when the post office lady started putting cat stamps all over the package, because you ROCK animal print clothes and accessories with such stylish elegance!

The splash of yellow in your outfit works SO well with the tones of blue you've chosen. Your colour combinations are always so inspiring!

Oh my goodness, I love that sweater and how you've paired it with the blue and yellow! You look amazing lady! And yeah, I love how blogging introduces you to people and places that you wouldn't know if you weren't blogging! I'm so glad to have "met" you through blogging that's for sure!

Oh and the weather here - HOT and dry, yesterday it was 102 but we actually got a late night thunderstorm with much needed rain. I'm almost ready for Fall with this heat - lol!

Wow, those are some awesome stamps. Why can't we have awesome stamps like that? And I <3 your blue shoes.

I am like the weirdest combination of super-tan and pasty-white. My face, upper chest/shoulder area and arms are very super tan. My legs are kinda tan but still pretty damn pale. And then you see me in a bikini and my midsection looks like the arctic tundra it's so white haha...
