holy guacamole.

i love summer days and long weekends.
this long weekend was nice because we didn't have any formal plans or parties to attend. we hung out at home for the most part with family and friends.
the minis played with their cousins and the neighborhood kids...it was cute to see them make "soup" with a bowl of water, flowers, leaves and other things around the yard. reminded me of the mud pies and similar concoctions i used to make as a kid...remember when we used our imagination and got dirty? before xbox and wii came along?

so it's been almost a year, and our avocados are finally ready to eat. in the next few months, as they begin to ripen, i will have avocado coming out of my ears. avocado on toast, avocado in sandwiches, avocado in salad, avocado in dips.
got any good ideas for avocado?
my guacamole:
1 ripe avocado
chopped onion
chopped olives
dash of salt
pinch of sugar

ok, so i really wanted to wear this jumpsuit with this vest, but since i have yet to own one, this blue one will have to do.
homemade guacamole + iced coffee
(fran floral jumpsuit, available at oomph; vest, american apparel (try denim);
boots, nine west (similar - i want these!)

like the jumpsuit? you can win one of your own.

Wow! Olives in guacamole? That sounds delicious! It looks like black olives in your photo? Plus sugar, a great ingredient!

I saw some boys playing football in our neighborhood the other day, and the kids got a game of kickball going too. It was fun to see them all being active and not vegging out in front of the TV or video games.

The romper is so cool with the hood. Love the boots with it too. Awesome outfit as always!

Avocados in your back yard. I am jealous. In the winter, DH and I will often split one and eat it with a spoon out of the shell.

You look amazing in your outfit and the boots rocks!

Love avocados! Though so much calories in it hehe. My fave recipe for that is cube avocados with plenty of ice, milk, some muscovado sugar and chill in fridge for a while and that's it!Hope my recipe helps. If only you can give some! lol!Happy weekend!

I am so envious that you have an avocado tree.. Like, you should totally see me seething with jealousy right now. Your guac recipe sounds delish. I've never tried it with olives. Toss in a roughly diced tomato to give it more chunk. It's nomz. Have you tried avocado "ice cream?" I used to eat it as a kid. Mash half an avocado, add some milk and sugar and then mix until well combined. Freeze for a few hours and voila, ice cream.

I love guacamole but unfortunately they don't have a very good selection here in India to make them from where I have shopped . Mexican food is one of my favorite types of food from international dishes . Thanks for stopping by my blog to comment and glad you had a good weekend !
