a leather dress.

all dressed up and nowhere to go...
...is what i jokingly said when my neighbor gave me this dress. she didn't have the heart to sell this amazing leather dress at her recent garage sale [i wouldn't either!], so she passed it on to me. i thought maybe i could wear it to drop off the kids at school in the morning, or to a late night run to walmart...but seriously, where in hawaii might i rock this (did i say amazing?) leather dress?

what are your thoughts on dressing down this bad boy?

homemade cranberry vodka...of course we had to try it!!
cucumber + salmon sandwiches from a recent shopping event.

Gorgeous dress! It would be great to wear to holiday parties. As far as dressing it down I would try wearing a white button up (or even a white tee with a crew neck) underneath the dress, black tights would dress it down a bit too.

Daaaaaaaaaang! What a treasure for sure! I wish I had your neighbors! I am sure you will find a way to tone it down (though I love it here on its own too!). You could always go the blazer route I'm sure or the tied button down perhaps. But damn, it's so fun on it's own!

That was so nice of your friend to give you this dress. I try a leather dress on last month and it didn't look good at all on me.

To dress it down you could do flats and a cardigan over it.

You look fab and that dress is amazing! To dress it down maybe try it with a crop knit over it or blazer? I say leave it as it and have a girls night out! ;) xo

That dress is so amazing! I would probably dress is down with a cozy oversized cardigan and maybe some girly flats? Although, the way you styled it is way too cool...
