sailor shorts.

traffic killed our workout...
so we had mexican and margaritas instead. we had every intention of hiking but encountered some serious traffic. after being on the road for two hours and taking every back road possible, it was lunch time and we couldn't deny our growling tummies. of course, we felt guilty stuffed after that, so we walked it off with some window shopping in haleiwa. pictures of the weekend below, including the most interesting ice cream [flavor] i've ever had.

do you enjoy playing tourist in your home town?
what's the most interesting ice cream flavor you've tried?

playing tourist in beach town: sipping on peach maggies, the cutest summery shorts, and yummy homemade ice cream from Scoop of Paradise in 'creamy rose'...which actually tasted like the smell of roses.
watches that are literally on hawaiian time (old watches filled with beachscapes of sand, sea glass, and shells), mexican food, and ended the weekend with pedis + wine.
(Forever 21 sweater; Patty's Closet shorts; Sole Society bag)
Biohazard sunglasses via surf shop (black); 9th & Elm necklace)

Sometimes the universe is just telling you to chill, have yummy food and do some shopping! I miss Mexican so much. This baby hates it. I get sick whenever I try to eat it. But it looks and sounds sooooo good. I love your shorts! They are too cute!

Haha. I should let margaritas substitute for workouts too. Seattle doesn't get as many tourists, so I don't know the feeling. However, we were in the 70's today, with all-day sunshine, and that kind of felt like paradise.

You look great in shorts. All the working out has been working.

I used to tourist it up in Ottawa all the time, I figured if people were coming from other countries to see the things in my city, I should at least see them myself! Now that ice cream flavour makes me want to try making my own homemade version with some rose water, I bet I could totally do it, or at least a rose sorbet. And I think I adore you for your wine and pedi evening ending, a gal after my own heart.
