sheer pleasure.

this dress. it was love at first sight. the colors. the print. the too-long-it-drags-on-the-floor-even-with-my-highest-heels length. i knew there would be an occassion for it, and i eventually wore it to a wedding after making a couple of modifications...the major one being patching the deep, plunging, open V. it was a bit revealing, so i sewed a piece of material inside. and i'm usually fearless with the scissors, but this material was too delicate; i couldn't risk ruining the dress by cutting the length. so it's kind of hum-bug to have to lift the dress when i walk, but the soft, sheer flowy-ness is so worth it.

  4. Gorgeous dress!!! (to above comment) ME TOO! I could definitely use a couple extra inches. Instead, I just look short and stumpy in maxi dresses.

  6. Sigh, I'm very jealous of you right now. I just bought a maxi dress that I adore but don't think I can it in the wintertime, dragging on the wet and snowy ground without me looking like a complete eejit.

Yay for you for modifying it to make it fit your requirements. Loving that :)
