pretty bird.

just showing off these beautiful earrings that i won in a recent giveaway hosted by teresa at delightfully darling. i've always loved the rich, vibrant colors found in peacock feathers. these shoulder dusters add just enough oomph to this simple outfit.

met up with the gang this morning for a yoga session at the beach park. it was my first ever experience with yoga. i stretched muscles i didn't know existed, i twisted my body in ways...well, you get the picture. as someone who never saw yoga as a worthy form of exercise, i may have to eat my words.
i'm hurting, i did break a tiny sweat, and best of all...
i was challenged.

have you tried yoga?

this picture wasn't from today, but this is where we had our yoga session...facing the ocean.

  5. LOVE your earrings. They look stunning on you.
I've tried yoga once. It was from the p90x dvd and I HATED it. It was so boring... but I want to try it again, with a class, and a friend who won't let me quit :) I could definitely suffer through a class if I got to do it in front of the ocean :)
Maybe I'll have to try it out when we go to Maui in May!

  26. I LOVE yoga, and am always surprised how intense and difficult it is, and how sore I can be the day following a good session. I think sometimes people see it as nothing more than "stretching," and it is SOOOO much more than that. And gurl, you KNOW I love those earrings. Durrrr....

  46. You do yoga in paradise! *faints* I've never tried it, but only because I know am NOT flexible and the last thing I need is to get stuck or pull something or goodness knows. Those earrings are so pretty! I have a few feathery ones but I walk so quickly that when I wear them, they wind up flying along behind me.

  47. Back when I was actually the gym going type, I took a weekly yoga class that I swear left me more sore than the step class I was also taking. There are some oddly placed muscles in the body that you just don't think about until yoga has them all stretched out of place :)

I love the peacock feathers, especially paired with such a gorgeously simple outfit. And your hair. I WANT YOUR HAIR!
