thrill of the frill.

been looking for a slip to go with all the knits i've acquired. i love the juxtaposition of a chunky sweater with something dainty and feminine. this slip dress, which i bought in black and nude (pictured below), is thin enough to be worn under a sweater without creating more bulk, yet lined so that it can be worn with an open cardigan. it worked perfectly with this simple v-neck sweater...peeking out just enough at the bottom. i even pulled out some of the ruffle at the neck.
