earlier this fall season i picked up a few sweaters when big shoulders, defined with shoulder pads, made a short-lived comeback. i have since snipped the shoulder pads out of them for a softer, less pronounced pouf.
now i don't feel like a football player anymore.
i must say i'm pleasantly surprised with essie nailpolish.
it lasts a long time without chipping.
i'm usually forced to change my polish because it's chipping...but now that i actually want to change it and try all the new colors, i can't. the polish still looks decent, and i feel like it would be wasteful to remove good polish!

I really wish the shoulder thing lasted longer, I wouldve bought a sweater like that too. I personally think its supercute! <3 Your outfit rocks!!

yea, i have this super cute balmain inspired blazer from zara with huge shoulder pads. i bought it because it looked so good on the models, but on me i looked like a football player too. sigh. still love the blazer though.

i loooove essie nail polish. they always have the best colors. i wish i could buy them all.
ReplyDeleteyou look precious in the sweater. i bought a couple of tops like that + i removed some elastic to reduce the poof-age. and essie is great, it's the only kind that lasts longer than 2 days with me!

This is a great outfit! Those strong shoulders are super chic.
ReplyDeleteI love the cardigan and this is a great outfit, it's very sexy librarian to me? Also I should try that nail polish, nothing more aggitating then chipping polish!!

How cool those shoes look under the outfit. Nice job taking a 'club' like show and making it work for day time. Love the puff shoulders and the thin metal gold belt.
ReplyDeleteLove the details of the golden belt how the color blends and looks great on your outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving tips regarding Essie nail polish. I'm always using Orly, such a brand loyal. Gonna try others this time and will take Essie as an alternative.
Love that purple on you! It's perfect! And I totally understand not wanting to change the nail polish and waste it. Hope you are having a great week :)

Big shoulders scare me, but these aren't big enough to be frightening.
ReplyDeleteThese are more like shoulder wings.

that sweater definitely looks feminine and non-linebackerish. and i'll have to try that polish. i usually give up on my nails because they chip so easily, but i miss having a little color. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine that sweater with pads - it looks perfect without them. Just enough poof to be feminine not overwhelming. good job on pulling those suckers out. Great look.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Essie nail polish, I generally stick with OPI brand stuff as that is the only brand I've had luck with. glad I read your post 'cause I think I'll try it now. i like the one different colored nail you have going on here :)
