looking back at what's ahead.

these photos are from a while back, but i thought it would be appropriate to share them now because they portray a style that i hope to come back to. while i have loved playing with color and prints this summer, i am falling in love with neutrals again. i'm also leaning towards a more simplistic look this fall.

not to worry, i'm not giving up color completely..i'll still dabble in brights whenever an opportunity presents itself.

    I enjoy wearing more neutral colors in the fall as well. I love black shirts, they just look nice. :)

    love the cuffed pants with the heels! I was just going through my fall/winter clothes and it was like shopping! I forgot I had some burgundy colored velvet pants and hunter green cords. Definitely looking forward to the dee andrustic colors and textures.

    These pants are sooo amazing, love the way they look on you! And with the simple button down and amazing leopard print heels it's such a great combination. I am leaning more towards earth tones for fall

    AHHHHH pineapple cream cheese bread!!!!!!!!! Can you hear my excitement????????? OMG my mom used to make that for special occasions, from scratch and it was the most delicious thing ever... I am like you, ready to put the colours on break for a while and work with neutrals. :D

    those pants are amazing! this fall i want to expand a look of professionalism, but which is still soft. i'm a therapist and i look really young, so i want to present myself closer to my age {29} but still exude a sense of safety and warmth {emotionally speaking}. since i don't have an office, i try to use my wardrobe as the way i create a therapeutic environment.

    Totally on the same wavelength! I'm all over neutrals for Fall right now - it's on my trends for fall list I'm getting together right now. Those shoes are so gorgous, leopard is the perfect print to compliment this look!

    I do like the monotone look! I should def. get into this a little more (but since NYC is heading into winter, I must add something of color or else I'll slit my wrists with a spoon because of the dreariness!!!) LOVE those shoes!!

    Great look for sure. Tweed and leopard print. I am looking forward to going through all my woolen clothing and jumping and rolling around in it until I smell of lanolin.

    I love those pants! I need to get a new pair of tweed pants, because my old ones are looking a little ragged now...
