at the request of a few readers, the bells are back.
this time in standing formation.
danielle of danielle celeste wanted to see a standing pose.
a while back i talked about maxi skirts and how the perfect length for me was one that hit just above the ground. this creates a long line and lengthens my silhouette. anything shorter or longer has the opposite effect.
while i absolutely love these denims, they are too long even for my sky-high jessica simpson danys. its super long length borderlines on making me look short and wide when they hit the ground and pouf out...see last photo. i'm considering making some modifications with my good ol' scissors so that they don't go to waste. plus, mini-he kept stepping on them, lol.
terri at RAGS requested a video of me walking in these. hopefully i can get that figured out by the next time
i wear these.
as for the title, annie at fashionable asians said she was reminded of cowbells when she saw these denims.
given its boho vibe, it's hard not to reach for crochet, or a fur vest, or something loose and flowy to go with these denims. this time, i tried to go for a more pulled-together look for the office with a shrunken blazer.
(denim, free people; blazer, rampage; tank, old navy)
So glad to see these again! They are frickin awesome and I love them with the blazer. The pearl bracelet was a great touch too :-)

Those jeans are fantastic. I love a pant length that barely touches the ground. Even with a little modification, those jeans won't lose their "oomph" :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the blazer and tank combo.

Ok, so I love the denim on you. I love that necklace. I am obsessed with that giant ring. And that blazer is just lovely. But my favorite picture of this post is that slam-wham-no-nonsense-attack-the-burger shot. Awesome. Nuff said.

ReplyDeleteHaha, random burger shot? Braver than me eating a burger in a white blazer, there'd be sauce allll over that thing in 5 seconds flat if I tried that. Your pants are telling me I really need to thread my sewing machine and try making me a DIY pair of these.
ReplyDeleteJust got mine in the mail! Can't wait to post them :) Looking fabulous. Love the spin with the blazer!

ReplyDeleteI love that blazer! Cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Right On. They look great on you. You should do a 30 for 30 (ala kendi) where you wear the cowbells everyday for 30 days. You would really travel at the speed of light finding different styling possimibilities. ManRepeller would be proud. Love you, girl.
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome in those pants. I could never pull off that look. Well done!

yeah, i see what you mean about the length. since they're rough edges, it seems like you can easily trim them though to make you look taller? or maybe the bottoms are just too big to elongate the legs? hard to say. the "cowbells" are pretty impressive though. wow!
ReplyDeleteDamn, those jeans are amaze balls!
