coincidentally, this tee and skirt are DIY trial and errors.
when i saw jewel sporting this beautiful leopard skirt, it reminded me of something i could have in my closet. a while back, i threw together a tube dress worn in this guest post. then, i cut it up for some desperately needed leopard
and after trimming off the used parts,
it fell nicely at my knees just as i'd hoped.
look closely at my right shoulder and you'll see a gaping hole from an attempt to shred this tee...but it turned out to be the wrong type of material. i forgot i did this until i put it on. it'll get the 'ol needle and thread, but until then a jacket covers it up just fine.
my mom started baking her yummy christmas cookies this weekend. they have cream cheese in them. nuff said. the dough is really hard to work with making them a royal pain in the a$$ to make. plus, the cookies are about the size of a quarter...so it takes a lot of sweat and tears to fill up one tiny jar to give away. however, if you are on the receiving end of these cookies, you're sure to love them!
got any holiday baking traditions?
the trial batch...using up all the random decorations.

Love the double leopard and how you paired your skirt with the Rock n Roll tee.
ReplyDeleteAny cookies are good to us, but our traditional cookies are soft sugar cookies, peanut blossoms, white chocolate chip macademia, and chocolate chip M&M cookies :)
Love the skirt and the shoes. The cookies look delish and cute!
ReplyDeleteNice job! I really like the result and it goes perfect with your leopard pumps (which I adore)!
ReplyDeleteWe have holiday baking traditions too. We make melomakarona, which are something like cookies in homemade syrup, and they taste heavenly. I want to make them this year too, but we're having a problem with our oven door. But I'll publish some photos of them when I do.
Love the skirt, perfect with the shoes! I'm not brave enough to DIY much in my closet ;o)
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt and shoes (and cookies :)

Love the contrast of feminine and edgy in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteI always have these grand plans to bake during holidays and over the past years each attempt has ended in disaster with mediocre cookies and lots of clean up. But ironically I just took out my holiday cookbooks and contemplating a cookie bake off with the kids.

Love your look! I have not yet been brave enough to try to alter things in my closet. I probably never will be!
ReplyDeleteI also love the rocker feel to your whole outfit. It is a look that I absolutely adore on others, but if I try it I feel silly. Maybe I'm just not badass enough. ;-)
I love a rock&roll tee with a ladylike skirt (even if the ladylike skirt is a bit badass). And don't even get me started on your shoes. Puh-leeeeze.

My holiday baking tradition is making about a million of my "Famous Quarter Cup Cookies." Each cookie is made from exactly 1/4 cup of dough.. they're huge, chewy, and amazing. Kinda wish I had one right now. Your mom's cookies sound delish!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit.. it's totally something I could picture myself wearing ;)
