growing up, mornings were always a rush to get ready and on the road for school. in an attempt to give me something nutritious, my dad would at least make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. one day, i remember biting into something unexpected. it was peanut butter and jelly with a slice of cheese. it wasn't horrible, but i was mad...mad that he messed with my pb + j. mad that he messed with my taste buds. when i asked him why he put cheese in my pb + j, he said it was for calcium since i didn't drink milk. i couldn't argue with that.
anyways, i'm loving this tank top.
it's a sweater. it's a racerback. it's super bright.
unfortunately, it had to compete with the bright sunlight in these photos, but the closeups are pretty accurate.
also comes in lilac and white.
have you ever had a pb & j + c? did your parents throw together any weird concoctions for the sake of nutrition?

Gorgeous outfit, pink looks great on you! I've not had a pb&j with cheese, sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI adore that long black skirt. That sandwhich sounds really interesting, so interesting that I'm off to make one right now. :)

That look is rocking (as usual). You manage to make anything look good! As for strange concoctions, we love pb with cheese, and I love pb with nutella. Just like a chocolate covered peanut.
ReplyDeleteYUM! xx
glad to hear i was not the only one eating pbjc sandwiches!
DeleteGreat outfit! I've never had pb&j with cheese. Sounds interesting... I've had a few random concoctions, though.

PB, J and C?! Never heard of it!! My go to sandwhich as a kid was tomatoe and cheese toasted, so delicious.
ReplyDeleteI love this tank, the knit fabric is gorgeous, it looks really great with this maxi skirt. I need a studded bracelet in my life now

that sounds strange, but strangely good! I'll have to try it! I'm thinking almond butter, apple jelly, and brie cheese would be divine!
ReplyDeleteok, now that sounds good! i love brie cheese.
Deleteyou rock that pink sweater-tanktop and i love this rockstar spikes cuff! gorgous as usual darling!

Such a cute story. Reminds me of how my mom used to throw in an egg to 3 minute noodles to make it "nutritious"
ReplyDeleteyes! and i still do that today!

Can't say cheese ever factored into my PB+J sammiches as a kid, or an adult, although I can see it being REALLY good with some creamy brie on a nice bread mmm... I really dig the black skirt :)
ReplyDeletethe cheese does give it a creamy feel.
Deletei love the tank top the color is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteto be honest my mum never did that to me, if i didn't like something she never tried to give it to me..
awesome outfit, i love the pink top.
ReplyDeleteAll best wishes,

No offense to your dad, but that sounds disgusting! Though it was very thoughtful of him to make sure you got your calcium! I love this sweater tank on you Oomph! And thank you so much for your kind words on my post about Bob. It really means a lot.
ReplyDeleteNo pb&c here... If I tried to toss something like that at my Little Guy, he'd toss it right back at me. lol
ReplyDeleteI love all of your tough accessories! And that maxi skirt is perfect!!
I've always been a weird child as far as food was concerned...from the time I was like 4, I always ordered the salad bar and just LOVED my veggies. But wouldn't eat any meat! My mom used to try to cram meat into anything she could.
ReplyDeleteThis sweater/tank looks amazingly comfy and so lush...love the shape of it but with a more classy fabric. really pretty!

A PB&J&C...oh my. I kind of want to try that even though I know it won't taste too good. I'm sure my parents have snuck stuff in to make me healthier, but I'd probably rather not know. Anyway, I like the outfit!

Haha, oh gross! That mixture doesn't sound very appealing. But ah well, it was done in love. I can't recall anything too bizarre that my parents have come up with.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, love this bright outfit! The tank is perfect for the sunny day <3

hey girly. thanks for checking out my blog. i really like how your blog incorporates fashion, food and travel. it's like mine too =)
ReplyDeletelove the spike bracelet!
that's a pretty horrid sounding sarnie, although i did used to eat butter and sugar sandwiches, and I can't see any nutritional gain in that...but they did taste goooooood!
ReplyDeletevery interesting..i've never heard of adding cheese to pb&j for nutrition's sake..but at least he was thinking of you! my gma would pack me breakfast in high school and she would make those little smokey sausages and musubis in the shapes of bunny heads and decorate the faces with different foods. she would add a can of juice and cut fruits for nutrition.
ReplyDeletehttp://loveshappyhour.blogspot.com/2012/03/turtles-frogs-baby-shower.html I FOUND THE PICS AND I PUT A LITTLE SHOT OUT TO YOU! HAHA! :)
HAVE A NICE DAY!
CHEERS!
This is the fourth hot pink look I've admired today! I've never had a pbj & c, although my husband's children packed his lunch for years. Imagine his surprise one day to realize it was nothing but mustard and a slice of tomato!
ReplyDeleteI had that problem in my last shoot. The sun was super bright and with the yellow pants, it just didn't show the polka dots the way I wanted...ah well! LOVE the color and texture of the sweater!

love the knit top! My mom used to send me to school with some pretty wired lunches. I always wanted something normal but my mom sent me to school with cream cheese and avocado sandwiches on baguette. All the kids would say, "whats that green stuff??" But it was better than their bologna anyway.
ReplyDeleteGreat PB&J story :-)
ReplyDeleteWOW! You make a casual outfit look chic!
ReplyDeleteI am your NEWEST FOLLWOER. We should follow each other! Being a fairly new blogger, I would love some feedback form you on my site!
