one of my weaknesses, if you would call it that, is my inability to schedule timely appointments. routine checkups at the doctor, physicals for the kids, car maintenance, and hair appointments...i'm likely calling for appointments in desperation rather than scheduling them ahead of time. it's mainly the convenience or inconvenience of the matter. leave the scheduling to me, and i'll never get around to it.
but give me a date and a time, and i'll be there.
looking back at my archives, i last cut my hair in february. six. months. ago. i can just see my hairstylist shaking her head. i've been curling my hair so much that i didn't realize [when i straightened it below] how long it's been getting.
but i somehow manage to get thru all these months. here's how:
curls camouflage straggly, dry ends.
i love piling my hair up into a messy bun or low chignon.
it's quick and easy and no one will notice those dry ends
when they are tucked under.
bobby pins are my best friend in between haircuts. it's a great way to keep those overgrown bangs out of your eyes.
braids keep unruly hair at bay.
hats.
hats are a great cover-up for bad hair days. plop one on and go.
and when all of the above fail, it's really time for a haircut.
i'll make an appointment soon. promise, i'll get a round tuit.
are you good about scheduling appointments?
AWESOME post. so happy to follow ya now ;) x
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately if I wasn't the one scheduling the appointments, they wouldn't get scheduled. My husband isn't good about those details, lol. These are good tips because I really need a haircut. Heather
ReplyDeleteI'm awful most of the time unless it's something really important like updating my will or power of attorney. But you're hair looks great to me! -Jessica L

I am so not a planner of appointments either, except for my hair ones! haha!! it's only because my hair dresser is so busy, if i don't make it before i leave i will NEVER get an appointment. she's that busy! I usually go to the doctor when needed! i know, i need to cut this out, and make it a regular thing. you're not alone on this one!
ReplyDeleteyou're hair doesn't even look like it needs any attention?
My dentist appointment is the only one I make ahead of time because THEY ask to schedule it when I leave...so that's great!
DeleteAmazing that your so good in styling your hair! I'm bad on it so my hair always look the same. I don't even noticed that your last cut is six months ago and you need to re-do now. I'm not that "hair vain", the one that always going to the salon type of gurl but If i do, that's the time that my hair should be given a proper care and treatment that it should get.
ReplyDeleteaudrinajulia.blogspot.com
Your hair really has gotten so long!! I seriously get my hair trimmed every month. My blond ends HAVE to be taken off or my hair splits and it looks horrible! I guess that's the perk of working in a salon though... I actually remember to get my hair done!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely a perk!! I used to work at a salon, and it was great having all of the stylists within reach!
DeleteGurl I'm the same way. Mine was January. Yikes. That reminds me, I'm due for a doctor appointment . . .
ReplyDeleteYour hair is gorgeous and I think it looks great in all these ways, but for some reason I am really drawn to the bun look!
lol. I am also bad at scheduling routine appointments. I find it even harder after having kids.
ReplyDeleteMom Fitness Journal | Beauty and Fashion in Seattle | Cheap Makeup Reviews
Yes, definitely harder after kids!
DeleteI've the WORST at getting my hair done. Thank god one of my best friends does it because she'll blatantly tell me your hair looks like crap you better come see me this week! lol

ReplyDeleteLOVE everything! I don't cut my hair very often either - maybe 3-4 times a year!

I wish I could use hats for those "bad hair days", but I can't find any (cute ones) that will fit my head. I love your hair curled the best! I wish I had more time in the morning to curl my hair.

Hahaha, I am SO the same. I like getting my hair done, but it takes time out my day and let's face it, it's no cheap matter. Buns, hats and braids are a great way to hide until you make that appointment.
ReplyDeletegreat look!

I love all your fab ways to disguise stay ends. A bun, braid, and hats are my go tos! However, I am good at scheduling appointments. But I must admit I write everything done so I can remember ;-)

I'm never good with appointments myself and I hate it cause you still end up waiting. Especially in the doctor's clinic.
ReplyDeleteThis made me miss my long hair. I've got a habit of cutting it short monthly.

I love the different hairstyles! You rock them well!
ReplyDeleteI always postpone those appointments, till I really need to go. And I haven't cut my hair for 4 months, and I'll probably go in 2 more months. 2 times a year is enough for me.
ReplyDeleteYou try a lot of hairstyles though. I like it!
Love the looks and the hair! =)

Honestly? I hate getting my hair done. I just feel like it's 3 hours I can never.get.back!! I just finally went to get my ridiculously long roots done (highlights) and cut at least 5-6 inches off. I admit...I feel like a new woman! {but it took....3 hours....ugh}
ReplyDeletehahaha! no matter what you do to your hair, it always looks good girl! it HAS gotten long! love it!
