seems like just yesterday i was planning all kinds of fun things to do this summer...hikes, picnics at the beach, swimming.
well, the minis are back in school and we didn't do half as
many activities as i'd hoped. here's a summer outfit plus a few photos of how we spent our last days of summer.

No doubt!!!! Where the hell did the summer go??? Nonetheless, with the temps FINALLY dipping below 90, I am def ready to welcome fall with open (and covered!) arms!

ReplyDeleteI know! Summer has flown by and we didn't do nearly everything we wanted to either. We still have an amusement park trip and a hiking trip planned but that's it. Kayla starts school Friday and I am so sad, she is going to be a senior!

DeleteWOW! The big screen in the back yard is awesome! How did you do that?? That must've been so fun for the minis! We're lucky that in Hawaii we get to enjoy the summer weather pretty much all year, but there is something about getting out more during the summer that makes you excited! I'm still enjoying the summer, trying to get to the beach as much as possible. I didn't get to do as much as I wished this summer too!

Summer does always seem to end too soon. I returned to work today...and I'm on school delivery duty for the grandson this semester. That gets me moving much earlier than I normally would.
ReplyDeleteBeing a graduated adult with no children, summer isn't much different from the rest of the year for me. More concerts and vineyards, yes, but no real shift in how I spend my days. That may be why I'm ready for fall; my summers are all hot weather without the payoff of summer break.

ReplyDeleteI never get even a 1/3 of what I have planned accomplished. There just are not enough hours in the day. I still have a few things for this summer I hope to get accomplished but I have been so busy I barely have time for anything but work and errands.
