my fellow blog buddy, susan, said here that she couldn't imagine living somewhere that was sunny all the time...because she couldn't go without buying boots. i hear you, sister. living in this sunshiny state, i sometimes feel robbed of the opportunities to layer up and sport beautiful coats and tall boots. but it doesn't stop me from wanting them. and sometimes indulging in them. i have a closet full of boots that never get worn, and my latest obsession with military jackets has me scooping them up in every color from khaki to olive green. who knows when i'll be able to wear them...but what i do know is that on any day, at any time, i have the opportunity to rock a swimsuit and hit the beach. and that ain't so bad either.
military jacket + stripes + leopard.

This military inspired look is great! Love the shoes, too! And I'll take the beach over the cold any day!!!
ReplyDeleteI would take the beach and sunny days over the cold any day! You live in such a beautiful place. Your jacket looks great over the striped dress and of course the leopard shoes rock! Heather
ReplyDeleteI think I'm taking my obsession with military jackets to another level. I don't care if people look at me strange lol all in the love of fashion!
ReplyDeleteI love how you paired the dress with the jacket... love love love!
Oh yeah I just saw your IG post about bear... I can't believe that!!! I hope you find him soon :( I feel sad about that. Praying for you girl!!

Oh I so envy you for your sunny state! I'm sure you can rock boots in the night . . . right? IDK I'm clearly ignorant when it comes to weather in other states (note to self, must travel more). I love your stripes and spots today Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteboots are overrated!! lol I envy your sunny days especially because on the days new yorkers wear boots its usually blistering cold & you have to hide your face with a scarf to prevent wind burn!

nice comibination!this shirt does miracles!you can do many combinations with it
ReplyDeleteI would love to live somewhere with warmth and sunshine all the time! I hate winter and wintery clothes in general. I have to wear so many clothes to avoid getting cold. So you're really lucky, even though you can't wear boots and coats where you live. I would trade coats and boots for beaches and swimsuits any time.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your shoes!
ReplyDeleteI guess living in Hawaii is similar to living in San Diego, in regards to weather.

Becks, I have coats and boots I've never worn either due to the climate here in New Orleans. HAHAHA So I definitely understand. LOVE your dress! Looks so good!

You look really cute but I agree.. I come from a tropical country and I can no longer stand it. I need autumn, a crisp cool breeze, cardigans and boots
ReplyDeleteThis jacket + That dress = LOVELOVELOVE
ReplyDeleteIt's a great combination.

so good
ReplyDeleteI hear you. It's always sunny in my city and it did not stop me from buying clothes that needs to be worn in a colder temperature. Haha! I want to weed out my closet though.
ReplyDeleteI'd totally give away the chance to wear boots to live in such an insanely gorgeous place. I love my boots, but I love my sunshine and water more!
ReplyDeleteseriously, Becks. That's a hard decision to make. ;) I LOVE cold weather a lot though, even though I would kill to be able to go to the beach right now!

I totally get what you mean about living somewhere thats always sunny. I lived in FL my whole life so I never owned a pair of boots until moving to NYC 2 years ago. I now work for a boot company and couldn't imagine not wearing boots all the time!
ReplyDeleteI am loving this outfit. The military jacket is absolute perfection. Hope you have a great weekend!

A depression of mine too, to wear boots and trench coat but it's far from reality as I live in the tropics, but who knows someday I'll be able to do it, right? So I agree on your thoughts about it, but you seems better cause you buy and stuck it on your closet and just ready to pick it up when you need it. Love all the photos and you're one sexy mama!

You know I love stripes. That dress is perfection.
ReplyDeleteAnd with this Indian summer we have here in LA, I'm also fully lustful of boots. I can't wait until the temperatures drop juuuuust a little so I can start layering :)

Awww! Know that I switch spots (and yes, give up boots) any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteLove the military jacket. Just love!
