the varsity jacket.

who knew i'd own another varsity jacket post high school?
thanks to a buy one, get two free promo, i now own this quilted varsity jacket. at least it's much more fashionable and flattering than my high school one. the black and white is fresh and crisp and will work well for all seasons. i'm thinking it'll be perfect with winter whites, just the right edgy juxtaposition to spring pastels and prints (like these polkas), and a sporty cover-up for tees and denim cutoffs on chilly summer nights. btw, how super cute is this polka dot dress from Patty's Closet?

this weekend was all about mini-she. after months of late night rehearsals, her school play finally came to life...and she did a wonderful job. they all did. kudos to her teacher who did an awesome job directing the play.

do you have a wardrobe piece that works for all seasons?

  23. Forgot to respond to you about the 'Lego Movie' I honestly can't remember if there were actual gun shooting. Obviously it wasn't major cause I would remember that but I can't be sure if there wasn't any. Overall it didn't feel violent to me but to be honest I was so fascinated with all the lego animation that I paid less attention to the story line.

    1. that's what i assumed as well. read that it's also like a huge movie-long advertisement! hope the kids aren't expecting to pick up all those lego sets after, lol!

  24. Such a cute outfit, as usual. Love the polka dots and pop of red!

  25. So, the polka dots and varsity jacket are just perfection together. And that pop of red shoe really pulls the whole look together. I have a few dresses I'm able to transition from season to season with the addition of tights or cute sandals. I think those are the best pieces to have.
