the summer heat really makes it difficult to get dressed in the mornings. not wanting to put on anything thick or long-sleeved or fitted, i tend to reach for breezy tank tops and loose-fitting jeans. simple and unfussy but with a few fun accessories like my trusty leopard heels and this cute clutch
i got for my birthday.
my dad cringes everytime he sees these jeans. he can't believe i wear them out of the house. granted they've gotten much worse over the years...the strings that used to cover my knees have been severed, now leaving big gaping holes. add to this my sloppily rolled cuffs. what is he talking about?
they're finally perfect.
only a few more days to enter my june giveaways for a free pair of glasses from firmoo and an anastasia of beverly hills lash genius. i know the firmoo giveaway has a bit more requirements than normal, but all it takes is a facebook account (if you have one) and a quick blog post about the giveaway...you can even take all the info from my post here.
mochi cupcakes with azuki beans.
(full head triple weft hair extensions c/o bobby glam (buy))
do you have anything that is finally worn to perfection?
Oh my gosh, I love your jeans and yes, they are finally perfect! LOL! Dads never understand the fashion! LOL! xx Pip

I totally need you to dress me! I NEED these looser, breezy shirts because my belly is all sorts of weird right now! Everything I own is form fitting... AH! And I'm definitely not in the mood to shop because my body just doesn't feel like mine, you know? Really takes the fun out of shopping! So ready for a solid baby bump, ha ha.
ReplyDeletei know what you mean about that in between stage...people don't know if you are just getting fat or preggers, lol!
DeleteYour poor dad, mine felt the same about ripped jeans I had when I lived at home! You look amazing, I love the shoes with the rolled up jeans.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand you! It's so hot in South Florida right now.. You look great, hot shoes!
ReplyDeleteBecks! I love this look. Easy breezy and perfect for summer. :)
ReplyDeleteDad's are funny, huh? I remember back in my "younger" years, I wore a copy cat version of the Dolce & Gabanna lace dress that Britney Spears wore to the VMA's. And styled it just the same as Ms. Spears herself, with only a pair of black satin boycut panties and black bra undernearth. Right before going out my dad wanted to say bye and when he saw me in the dress, I thought he'd be mortified.... instead, he complimented me and said I looked "so nice". hahaha. Whew! But he too, like your dad, doesn't get why we would want to wear a pair of jeans with rips and holes in them. LOL.
How's your week going so far? Hope all is well!!
xx Love & Aloha

ReplyDeleteFor generations, parents have been complaining and confused when we wear torn jeans. But I understand the allure: I did the same thing four decades ago.
ReplyDeleteComfort is Summer leads us to light clothing which is perfectly okay.
Ripped up jeans are so much fun! And I love how you dressed them up with your leopard heels. =)
ReplyDeleteI love the volume and feminine style of this top with the beat up jeans and heels...it's the greatest mix of sophisticated and playful. And your legs looks so long and pretty!

That jeans remind me of my husband's that really is old and seriously torn! Some are not too familiar or do not comprehend this torn trend, like my doctor who looked at mine and looked at me innocently and said "You have a hole in your jeans.." How would I explain to him? ;D

GREAT jeans! I love when dads comment on fashion. They are too funny.
ReplyDeleteI used to only wear men's band t-shirts back in high school, but when I progressed to more feminine clothing, I couldn't bring myself to part with them! One in particular was worn to buttery softness and was of AC/DC's Highway to Hell album cover... So recently I took my scissors to it, cut off the sleeves and neck and 'wove' the back tighter so that it actually fits my natural feminine shape now... It's grungy and wild and PERFECT in its worn ways.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great outfit! and your pumps are amazing!! :))
