i was pleased to find this skirt in the motherload.

ok, i was ecstatic.

i usually don't like this mermaid-y shape because my legs feel restricted, and i hate not being able to walk...fast.

but, i must have gone thru a phase, because i found a couple of these skirts in the motherload.

the shorter length allowed me to move freely, and the thick, sturdy denim perfectly balanced the feminine shape.

love the red lining on the underside of the hem that peeks out when i'm sitting.

my sister is famous for buying things and not wearing them.

usually because it just looks good on the hanger...in the store.

whatever the reason, it works out for me.

she was about to throw away two brand new dresses.

this silk dress was one of them. the pockets drape in a way that makes your hips look really pointy.

my trusty red blazer solved this issue and added some much needed color.

leopards and pythons.

the long anticipated arrival of my leopard shoes was bittersweet.

they met, if not exceeded, my expectations...the platform, the rich color, the chunkier, round heel.

but...

these bad boys are mega high.

feel-it-in-your-knees kind of high.

not enough platform for the heel height.

i walked outside with them to snap these photos before realizing just how high they were, and now i can't return them.

if some gel inserts don't help, sadly these will have to go straight to the marketplace.
