lately, spring has been creeping into my closet in the form of yellow. from pale shades to shocking chartreuse, you can't help but smile when wearing this cheery color. this week is all about this fun spring color, and i'm kicking it off with this easy breezy gauzy top from Patty's Closet.

tgif! it's super bowl weekend, and it's a big deal at our house. i really only look forward to the half time show and commercials, and usually cheer for the underdogs just to make things interesting around here! mini-he and i will decorate the house with team logos and paraphernalia, my dad usually has a pool going on, and there'll be ribs and cold beers on the menu.

i used to think it was a fashion faux pas to

mix silver and gold in the same outfit.

like gold earrings didn't go with a silver necklace, or a gold belt buckle didn't match with a silver watch. even down to the tiny buckles on my shoes...if it was gold,

everything else was gold.

while i still prefer to keep them separate,

i do like to experiment.
