patterned clutch.

i was excited to hear that love & sunshine is coming out with a new fabric clutch. i'm already obsessed with my leopard pouch and i'm loving the fresh print on their new design. you can see a better picture of it here. keep your eye out on their instagram page for its availability.

wearing a white leather tee and jeans with a camel colored jacket...a neutral yet complementary backdrop for this pretty patterned clutch.

is it friday yet?

based on black.

thanks for sharing about your cars in the last post. from VW to lexus to honda...some of you have been driving your cars for a while, which tells me that they are reliable cars. good to know, and i will keep this in mind as i continue my search.

a black base keeps this mish mash of prints and textures cohesive. guess that's one good thing about having a lot of black in my closet...i can throw things together and somehow it works.

what's your secret when mixing prints?

jelly of a time.

this weekend had a nice balance of work and play. saturday was a full day of volunteering at the aquarium...standing on my feet for five hours straight making hats out of paper plates. it was supposed to be a kids' activity, but it proved to be too difficult for the little ones. i met up with the minis when i was done, grabbed some much needed sustenance at a nearby restaurant on the beach (view=good, food=not so good), let the minis take a dip in the ocean, and finally headed home. my body was so tired, i fell asleep by 9pm. sunday was a much more relaxing day. after the usually morning classes and errands,
we went to the pool and jacuzzi and swam until we turned
into raisins.

guys, i'm really struggling with finding time to take pictures. i've already used up all of my save-for-a-rainy-day drafts.
next week is swimming class sign-ups, and i'm hoping to find
a different day that will free up my sunday mornings again.
until then, you may see a sponsored post or two to help
fill the gaps. normal programming to resume shortly.

the jellyfish was our favorite.
so was this cute little girl.
let's hope we don't ever step on one of these urchins.

discontinued.

yesterday, i came across yet another blog going on hiatus.
this is the fourth one announced in the year i've been blogging, not to mention countless others that have just quietly disappeared. and although we've never personally met, we've connected on some level and saw each other on a weekly basis. i can't help but feel a little sad. kinda like when your favorite lip color is discontinued. sure, new [blog] friends will be made, but the ones that leave us will be missed.

so, it got me thinking...what are your plans for your blog?
do you have a time frame or are you just going with the flow? maintaining a blog is hard work....do you ever feel
like quitting?

hit or miss-oni.

so...did anyone brave the missoni for target launch?
it's funny how you can get sucked in by all the hype.
i'm not a huge fan of missoni, yet i found myself constantly checking the website last night to see if i could get first dibs on the goods. this is the only time being five hours behind works to our advantage.
it was about 11pm when the first few items became available.
nothing i had to have, so i waited...and waited.
it was about 12:15am when all the products were available, and by 1am, i had successfully added 13 items to my cart. after a final survey of my cart, i decided on five of the items and proceeded to checkout. i filled out my information, found out that the free shipping didn't apply to me surprise!, entered my credit card information, hit the red button, and.....
"uh-oh!"
"oops!"
"a fatal error has occured."
"we are unable to process your request at this time."
at 2am, grouchy and tired, i gave up.

woke up this morning to more of the same...
"our site is really popular today. we are experiencing a high volume of traffic. try again later."
at 9am this morning, most of the items i originally had in my cart were out of stock, and i ended up purchasing only two items.
you would think they'd be prepared for this.

did you get any pieces from the missoni for target collection?
tell me your experiences...in store or online.
