tigers + mooncakes.

happy mid-autumn festival.
while i am part chinese, i never really partook in festival activities; to be honest, i don't even know the meaning behind it. an old employee and friend [who moved back to taiwan] is here on vacation and brought some delicious mooncakes making this a good time to learn about it. here's what i found out:
- mid-autumn festival or chinese moon festival is one
of the most important festivals for the chinese people;
it's an official holiday.
- ancient chinese believed the movement of the moon played an important role in the changing of seasons and agricultural production. they worshiped the moon and gave offerings
of thanks for successful crops.
- round shape of the mooncake symbolizes reunion of family. eating mooncakes together with family and enjoying the moon at its fullest is an important part of the festival.

a week of blazers. red.

it's rare that i post same day pictures. meaning, the outfit in these photos is not the outfit i'm wearing today. working full-time and juggling two kids' schedules, i have to fit in photo shoots whenever i can...currently it's sunday mornings. and the number of outfits i can squeeze in depends on how long mini-he can keep himself busy. that said, the photos in my previous post were taken when i got my new nike shoes a while back. the writing was a spontaneous midnight "journal entry", a quick blurb i wanted to share feeling good after my run. i thought it was more appropriate paired with an exercise outfit than with a work outfit. i didn't mean to imply that i look like that after a workout. believe me, i am a sweaty mess after an hour on the treadmill.

red blazer here with some print mixing.

when when do you take your outfit photos?
do you post them the same day

cute apple pie...
