weekend in photos.

as much as i wish for the occassional day of insanely rainy weather (so that we can make use of our "winter" clothes), i still love to soak up the sun, and there was a lot of it this weekend. i pretty much lived in my denim cut-offs the entire weekend...

sunshine on a gloomy day.

yesterday afternoon's wind was just a precursor to the night's storm. doors were rattling, thunder was booming, lightining was flashing, and it was raining many cats and dogs. aside from the effects it has on my hair, i love this weather. figured i better make use of all my sweaters and tights while i can. originally had on this favorite cardi, but the dark skies deemed this one more appropriate.

fishtails and high heels.

this sweater ended up being a good buy as i've been wearing it a lot. it's super soft and lightweight so i end up throwing it on over everything. if i ever get around to posting some pictures from the weekend, you will see more of it, and here too. anyways, i've always loved the fishtail braid and recently saw a tutorial on how to do it. it's fairly easy to do...on someone else. doing it yourself is a bit more tricky. i felt like i didn't have enough fingers. i (sloppily) curled my hair for some texture before doing a small side braid.
