the right answer.

being that i'm only 5'-2" (5'-3" on my driver's license),
i will wear heels wherever and whenever possible.
and, if the world were a sex and the city movie set, i'd happily run around in shorts and high heels as carrie did.
unfortunately, it's not, and certain occasions call for something a bit more casual. when oxfords hit the blogosphere, i thought they would be my answer to a casually chic shoe. i set out to find a pair only to find them too pointy, too rounded, too manly, too...too...flat.
it was casual, it was chic, and most importantly, it had height.
they didn't have my size, of course, so i scoured the internet for the next best option and found these on ebay.

this weekend, i also lucked out at this cute little
vintage-thrift shop called, sugarcane.
i found this amazing ring and a vintage horse-print dress!
the ring is missing many stones,
but it was my size and i couldn't pass it up.
the dress wasn't my size, but i couldn't pass it up either.

i have that problem too, i am 5' only and flats makes me super small. i don't mind the height but i look like a teenager but you can't wear heels all the time, specially the place where i live. your shoes are so unique and cool. the dress is classic.

What a wonderful pair of shoes. How do they feel when you walk in them?

Ohhh I love the red dress with this blazer such a perfect combination!! And that necklace is great. I'm only 5'2 as well, I wish I wore heels more often but it feels weird sometimes especially running around campus

you always seem so tall in your photos. i guess that's what happens when you wear the right things, which i find really inspiring since i'm only 5 ft.

Jeffrey Campbell to the rescue! I'm 5'4" myself and I'd love the ability to run around in high heels all the time... sadly life (and my feet) won't allow it. Love the outfit, is has a sort of upper-class school girl/funky corporate thing going on. I probably make no sense. But it's awesome.

I always found Oxfords too manly for me, too, but these look really cute!
The necklace & ring are perfect to wear with this dress - which I adore BTW!
I wish we had better thrift stores here...but alas, we don't.

i feel you! there are times when the dress isn't my size but if i like it too much, i end up buying it. but when it comes to the shoes, if it doesn't fit, it really won't fit.

no work-around for that one.
