chains.

a go-to work outfit consisting of a
pencil skirt and collared shirt.
something i always feel comfortable in.
this skirt has the look of a bandage skirt but the
longer length of a pencil skirt.
thinking about 2012 and how i can simplify life...
maybe five pencil skirts and five collared shirts
for the work week?
(bracelets: banana republic, f21 (buy), express (buy);
ring, erica anenberg via ideeli (similar))
(necklace, no brand via nordstrom rack)
this necklace has three tiers of chains.
it's a tangled mess, but i like it that way.
chocolate covered fortune cookie.
(top & skirt, express (buy)(buy); bag, h&m (gift))

I adore this look! I have a pretty streamlined work wardrobe, but its not as fancy as yours (we're pretty casual). Love the accessories too!

Love that fortune cookie! Also, your tangled necklace is so pretty! I dig the pencil skirt look, though I find them restricting to wear myself. This look is great on you though Oomph!

well i was going to say, "fabulous outfit!" cuz that's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this, but the first commenter said that so it would be unacceptable to say the same thing. must come up with something more original, but still fitting to your outfit. this is starting to sound like a spam comment. euuu, hate those. you are lookin schnazzy! really like the big gold statement jewelry pieces and the simple black pencil skirt. great ensemble! :)

I've thought about simplifying my work wardrobe to something like that. Then I remember who I am and it would never work. Hee. I'm guessing the same with you. :)

You can never go wrong with a pencil skirt and collared top. It's so classy, but yet you can add little bits of your personality with accessories. Yours are great!

Woa, woa, hold the phone. Chocolate covered fortune cookies?! Where have these been all my life... I better go door-to-door in Chinatown and let all the restaurants know the news haha...

Five button-ups could work... but only if they were in crazy stellar patterns and colours. Because admit it, you'd get bored fast otherwise :P At least I sure would!

The accessories are so bold, I love the look but I'd be too scared to actually try wearing this to work myself! A junior analyst in the office wears it, but I just stick to pearl earrings. Wish I had the FAB that you exude!
