nothing new here, but this is a great LBD for the summer because it's thin and lightweight. i have this dress in three different prints, but i liked this one because it looked like a modern take on the chinese dress. what i noticed, though, is that there isn't one full print on the dress...they are all cut off at a seam. and see that little gold bit at my chest? what's that about? it's an eye sore. they could have cut the fabric a little more to get rid of that partial print. i always wear a long necklace to camouflage it. also, when the stripes don't match up at the seams? huge pet peeve.
this weekend we'll be staycationing in waikiki...a fun weekend before mini-she starts summer school on monday. my sunburnt skin is still recovering from last weekend, so i'll definitely be packing a lot of sunscreen, hats, and rash guards. you can follow me on instagram for updates on this weekend's activities.

Nonmatching seams are one of my major design pet peeves too but this dress print is very unique and you carry it off beautifully!

Incomplete patterns make me so distressed! Like those sequined striped tops that the sequins are only on the front? I can't even look at them without getting upset, it's actually a bit ridiculous. The pattern on this is pretty, though I agree, they could've y'know, TRIED matching it up... Have fun with your staycation!

The dress is really pretty but it is a shame about the layout- the pattern ending at the hem and a little bit poking out from the seam. not well thought out! xx

The dress still looks very cute and sexy.... you know how to wear it but I know what you mean. My Pet-peeve? when Necklines are not done properly and they look out of place, specially when its on a cute shirt or dress. I like to wear tops with very thin straps and sometimes they are not tailored properly and they break!! yeah, not a good thing when you are out on the street. Now I look at them carefully.

I have to wear all black for work. I love finding comfortable LBDs but there are a few little things that can totally ruin my love for them, like a wacky neckline or an awkward dart.
