it's been an interesting week here with asia-pacific
economic cooperation (APEC) in town.
as all the world's dignitaries arrive, we are experiencing traffic and road closures everywhere. i was already running late when i hit a freeway closure this morning...chinese president, hu jintao, was making his way to waikiki. after a few obscene texts and tweets, i decided to turn off the car, turn up the music, and enjoy my breakfast. tomorrow will be even worse as the majority of the leaders arrive. i was hoping to enjoy the long weekend away from the traffic...until i found out that
i. have. to. work.
a while back i mentioned that i ordered a bunch of stuff that didn't fit and had to be returned. so, i begrudgingly gave up the too-small leatherette ankle zip pants that i really, really, really wanted and brought home this sweater instead. although i love this type of layering, i was borderline uncomfortable. let's just say the ac was jacked up real high.
"nostalgic" gum.

Your necklace is fabulous! That is so unique and cool. You are definitely working the preppy chic look, but still look like you. Bummer about the traffic. The president came to Columbus one time and they closed the highway down and it pretty much sucked, lol!
LOVED your new sweater! Great choice!
I love your necklace and sweater! Nice outfit :)
Cute sweater. I am obsessing on white collared shirts lately and I love the dark wash denim.

Bummer about the pants, but score on the sweater! It is indeed a great layering piece and comfy cozy for being stuck in traffic (which SUCKS btw and I am so sorry that happened!). Looking good lady!
Love the crisp, clean shirt with under the soft sweater for some nice contrast layering.
Sounds like a busy time there on the island! Glad you were able to enjoy your breakfast in the middle of it though:-)
love the second photo. it showcases your sweater and necklace so nicely. which, by the way, go together perfectly.
Love the overall look. so Chic! The necklace and the sweater got a perfect photo.

First off, I LOVE YOUR ARM CANDY!!!! Excellent bracelets and though I'm loving your layering, isn't it too warm in HI for that? I'd gladly switch places for ya to come to NY where you can layer your lil heart out while I can sport the flip flops and shorts hehehe

With the road closures and you having to work today I feeling bad for you. Then I see your cute outfit that I would have to add a coat to and you mention you had the ac on. See now I don't feel bad for you. I feel bad for my frozen toes and fingers.
Really though I have to say you look awesome. That sweater is amazing and I have been searching for a white button up to fit me like yours. They all seem to be too short or too long. That makes me outfit envious of you.
Cheers,
Bre
This is a really different, cool look for you. I love the sweater. Having the collar and tails of the shirt underneath stick out the top adds an "I don't care" vibe.

You seriously have the most gorgeous jewelry ever! And I love how you don't let living in Hawaii stop you from enjoying the fall trends from time to time, even if a little extra AC is needed :)

And those arm jewels could totally double as weapons! Love it.

Nah, the trade off was worth it - great sweater :) I recently returned a dress from F21 that didn't fit, and got a fab pair of cobalt blue jeans instead :)
