furry fascination.

met up with the gang this morning for our beach workout. only a handful of us showed up so there wasn't as much peer pressure. still a tough workout and a great way to start off the week.

checked only four things off of my weekend to-do list, but spontaneously added one thing to it. despite the overcast and rainy weather, it was a fabulously productive weekend. foxy brown got her bath, mini-he got his haircut, i got (minimal) exercise, and had a great time with the girls. we weren't poolside, but still had a nice time eating and chatting and eating. we girls know how to eat! our spread included pizzas, soybeans, spanish rolls, cucumber kimchee, fishcake poke, crackers and warm brie, malasadas, and wine.
also ended up going to chinatown for chinese new year celebrations, but more on that later.

bought this bag on black friday. now that i finally
took it out of the bag, i'm not sure i can put it away.
more on the dress here.

loved this gadget my friend had...a wine aerator.
i usually just pop open the bottle and chug, lol, but it really does improve the taste of the wine. we were drinking menage a trois which you can get at costco for under $10 a bottle.
it has more of a bite to it than i prefer,
but still a fabulous wine for the price.

time killer.

i had a few hours to kill on saturday, so i browsed around the neighborhood shopping center and ended up in the only clothing store there. at first glance i saw mostly the usual stuff and just went thru the motions of browsing. after realizing i made my first round of the store in five minutes with two more hours to wait, i decided to make another round. i ended up leaving with a few interesting pieces that i'm excited to try out, and a few basic staples like these. this sweater is so soft and light, plus it has the uneven hem...great for covering body cons like this skirt. luckily, the skirt was a hair too big making it comfortable and not too body conscious.

knee highs + heels

again with the japanese magazine inspiration. i originally pulled this photo for the hairstyle but realized i liked her outfit equally as much. although i had most of the components of her outfit...the skirt, tank top, belt, even the white bag, i needed something a little more office appropriate. started with a neutral base of browns, then added the black belt and jacket to balance the dark socks.
