shamrocks and leopards.

a belated happy st. patrick's day to everyone.
hope you enjoyed green beverages or at least wore green...
i sure did. wore green, that is!
thanks to everyone for all the cold remedies. i've been drinking lots of tea, gargling with salt water, and slathering my feet and chest with vicks. i'm not 100% yet, but certainly
on the road to recovery.

despite the coughing, it was a jam-packed weekend of softball games (mini's team lost), birthday parties + wine with the neighbors, and a quick meet up with the girls at the beach. plus, i started today off with an awesome hike with the gang.
i brought my camera this time, so i'll share some pictures soon. lastly, i'm looking forward to trying anastasia of beverly hills' lash genius, a waterproof topcoat for your lashes,
available at sephora in may 2012. stay tuned for the review.

how was your weekend? any big plans for the week?

been coughin for so lung.

guys, i'm so tired of coughing.
it's been keeping me up the past couple of nights.
other than hot tea, got any good home remedies?

i spent a good part of last year trying to stay away from black. with brights and color blocking on the rise, i made every effort to add colorful things to my wardrobe. but, i still love the comfort of black. now i try to find black pieces with some kind of detail...pleats, ruching, zippers, ruffles...something that adds oomph to basic black pieces.

how do you add oomph to your black outfits?

four cards later.

after dinner with family on saturday, we took a peek in old navy since our car was parked in front of the store. nothing really excited me, but i had a few gift cards, so i grabbed a few things (most of which were on clearance) and headed for the checkout. four gift cards later, i still had to pay. when i got home, i noticed that the price for this shirt was originally $29, red tagged at $25 and called clearance.
hardly a clearance price, if you ask me.

i love the shirt, nonetheless...it's one of those collared, button down types that i like, sheer-ish but not see thru,
and super bright.
