with the holiday season comes holiday parties. velour, sequins, and satin are festive and sometimes thought of as formal wear...but sequins and satin paired here with denim and slippers is something i might wear to a daytime party.

foxy brown was stuck to me like glue.

this is probably the first real post with the new hair.

i made a yummy turkey chili in the slow cooker for dinner.

then headed over to my neighbor's for cake and wine.

it was a good day.

spent yesterday with mini-she and her friend since they are on spring break. it's days like these when i need pieces that can carry me throughout the day with just a few minor adjustments. this tunic/dress is one of those versatile pieces. with a few straw accessories and pretty sandals, i'm ready for the beach.

just showing off these beautiful earrings that i won in a recent giveaway hosted by teresa at delightfully darling. i've always loved the rich, vibrant colors found in peacock feathers. these shoulder dusters add just enough oomph to this simple outfit.

met up with the gang this morning for a yoga session at the beach park. it was my first ever experience with yoga. i stretched muscles i didn't know existed, i twisted my body in ways...well, you get the picture. as someone who never saw yoga as a worthy form of exercise, i may have to eat my words.

i'm hurting, i did break a tiny sweat, and best of all...

i was challenged.
