experimenting with extremes. blues.

i recently had my first jello shot. i mean, how could i resist when my neighbor served them like cute lemon wedges. after we devoured them, she proceeded to make beverages with the fruit she scooped out by throwing them into vodka + lemonade.
talk about not letting anything go to waste.

i wanted to see how many blue things i could throw into
this outfit. pretty much everything except the shoes. wait...darn...come to think of it, i do have
a pair of blue heels...haha.

looking forward to hanging out at my
friend's beach house this weekend.
what are you guys up to?

vodka-infused gummy bears and jello wedges.

here's a recipe i want to try:
pink lemonade jello shots

12 lemons
1 cup pink lemonade
2 packages plain gelatin
1 cup vodka
cupcake pan
- cut lemons in half, scoop out insides
- add lemonade to saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over juice,
let sit for 2 minutes
- heat lemonade over low heat, stir until gelatin dissolves, about 5 minutes
- stir in vodka, pour into lemons
- refrigerate, about 4 hours
- slice and enjoy

underdog.

if there's one sport i don't understand, it's football.
but, my nephew's birthday is on february 1st,
so we always celebrate on superbowl sunday.
i'm clueless as to what a down is, nor do i know what a blitz is. they could be bunting balls and making goals in the third inning for all i know (har har!). what i do care about is the half-time show, the commercials, and the final score...in that order. and, for the purpose of having something to cheer about, i always root for the underdog. go giants!

if you aren't a football fan, keep yourself busy while the guys watch the game by doing a little shopping at asos.

now that's something to cheer about.

will you be watching the game? which team are you cheering for?

i count on them to add oomph to my outfits,

meet me half way.

not mini, not maxi, but just right.
i've been lusting over those accordian pleated midi-skirts for a while now, and i finally came to the realization that they just aren't for me. the full pleats make me look wide, and the just below the knee length makes me look short. i felt this was a nice compromise. it still had enough volume, and the longer, almost maxi length paired with high heels lengthens a bit. plus is flows prettily in the wind, and it's machine washable.

do you prefer minis, midis, or maxis?

we all have these caught-mid-shot-adjusting bloopers, right?

this started off as a background show that played while i was reading blogs. then, i noticed a couple of cast members from current popular shows like pretty little liars and twilight. i always like to see them out of their familiar element. the storyline isn't new...single mom and two daughters trying to make it in the big city, bratty rich kids vs. struggling "scholarship" kids, affairs and failed relationships. everything about the show is a cliche, but i found myself coming back for more predictable twists and mediocre acting.
for keeping me up till 1am, this one gets a:
